If you're looking for that extra boost of speed next season be sure to check out Cycling News article on the cost of speed.
The good old aero bar is still the least expensive way to cheat the wind. Starting at just $65 ($100 model shown). Mounting a pair on to your standard road bike will save you over 5 seconds a mile.
Making the jump into a aero helmet ($150 model shown) will save another second or two.
Add it all together with a sweet bike and you can save well over 10 seconds a mile. On a traditional 40km time trail that equates to 5:30 minutes, or almost 25 minutes for an Ironman.
